I been wet shaving for a year now and i finally got myself a new razor. I wanted to try it out for a while and see how I liked it before I invested in a new razor. Previously I had two whipped dog razors, a 5/8 and a 6/8. What a difference a new razor makes!! It was like the difference between night and day! My RA was so sharp and balanced compared to my other two razors. If I had to do it over again I think i would still start out with a whipped dog razor but I think I wouldn't wait so long for a new razor. Once I had the basics down and could get a nice close shave i would of bought been me a new razor if I would of known the difference it would make. I only say this because I started with a 5/8 and I had a lot of trouble with it. I switched to a 6/8 razor and never looked back. Buying a hundred dollar razor and then deciding it's not for you and then having to buy another razor size for me would of been very costly and I wouldn't of done it. Im very thankful for this forum and for all your input and advise. I don't post a lot I'm more of a lurker but it's nice to know if I need questions answered. Next step, honing!
