Thanked: 2Shave Ready....By me!!
Hi All,
Just wanted to tell everyone how proud I am that I've honed a razor from 1K, 3K, 8K, 12K, then a few laps on a lightly pasted webbed strop and a final few laps on my 3" English bridle strop and hey presto!!!! A shave ready razor!!!
Passes the HHT all the way down the blade and I've also done a few shave tests and pings the hair effortlessly!
The English Bridle strop is new from SRD and I've tried my other semi sharp razors on it and it really quickly brings them up to a more shave ready state!! So so much better than my little 2"ish Dovo strop! It might be the paste I dunno, but I'm very pleased with it anyway.

Thanked: 1371Congratulations! I still fondly remember my first shave with a razor that I honed for myself. Enjoy the shaves!

Nice job! How were you able to tell when your razor needed honing? Was it when a regular stropping didn't improve the shaving experience?
