Thread: Group Buy allowable???

I wasn't sure if the forum rules allow group buys here or not, so I thought I would ask. Are they? It seems to be a common practice on several other forums so I thought it might be ok here as well.

The specific item that prompted the idea for me is MWF soap. Based on the rave reviews, I'd like to give it a try, but as a beginning shaver, was a little taken aback at the price. I then noticed in another post that it is available at a discount when purchased in quantity. Having never tried MWF before(and seeing that some folks have a hard time with it), I wouldn't want to purchase the required quantity on my own, but perhaps others would be willing to go in together to reach the required quantity??

Thoughts???

Group buys by members are NOT allowed. You can bring the issue to a mod to request to have it officially sanctioned or you can just do it via PM between members but in the open forum, please no group buy arrangements to be made.

There are no threads created for this, instead just shoot a PM to any mod (light blue) or senior mod (dark blue) and the mod will take it from there and will be in contact with you about it.

The minimum shipping makes it quite pricey to the States. Just had a look and it came to just over $53.28 at current exchange for one with bowl, $39.55 for a puck. I can see why a group buy would be more interesting.

If I was in the UK, perhaps... I can't see spending almost 50.00 USD (including shipping) on one of my first soaps that I may or may not like. Just not in my budget. Thankfully I have received a pm about a wait list for a US distributor. That will be acceptable for me.
