Thread: Razor Sizing

How exactly are sizes determined? Measured from spine to edge or from start of hollow grind to edge? My ruler tells me that most of my 5/8 razors are actually closer to 6/8 when measured spine to edge.

I use an old wooden ruler to measure now. I did the caliper bit but dinged up an edge. No excuse for that. The ruler works just fine.
