    Default bout time!

    I actually got a beat up ebay razor honed to shave ready for the first time!!.. 2 hours of the Norton 4000/8000 and a little cussing but I got it.... just wished I remembered what I did.....HA!

    There's not much to it really. Start with the 4K side till you have removed all burrs, then move on to the 8K for another 20 laps, strop and see whether you can shave arm hairs. If you don't get a shaveable edge after 20 laps on the 8K go back to the 4k and so on.

    i just bought 5 SRs off ebay 2 have some pretty bad spine wear but i got those for the scales in hope that i find good blades to put in them... BTW do ya have any words of wisdom on how to remove rivets and where can i find new rivets?... i kinda like the idea of getting into restoring SRs
