Thread: An off key set of scales.

Greetings to all,
I recently inherited several straigt razors and have thuss become something of a convert. amongst the collection (if 6 razors can count as a collection) there was this monstrocity. I had thought initially of removing and possibly burning the offending items so as to avoid them assulting the retinas of any other creature on this earth. However after spending some hours cleaning and pollishing and honeing and then finaly shaving with this peice I have somehow grown quite fond of its garrishness. It does raise some speculation as to what my grandfather (a man I regard highly for his down to earth phillosophy and no nonsense working class roots) was like as a younger man to have purchased this "funky" styled razor and to have kept it for all those years.

I hope some of you out there find at least a little amusment in this, I certanly have and now smile whenever I pick it up and hope that someday (assuming I have any) my gradchildren will gaze upon this questionably fassioned item with the same perplexity I have been and treasure it for that reason as I do.
