Thread: 2" strop vs 3" strop

I have a 2" strop. It works just fine. I don't see a purpose to a 3" strop is you're going to have to do an x pattern anyway. Latigo leather is a great quality leather.

I have 3-inch, 2.5-inch and 2-inch strops and use the X-pattern on all. Some habits are hard to break. So it's your choice. If you're going to strop in the X-pattern, it really makes little difference what width your strop. Buy what you prefer.
