Thread: First Straight Shave at Home

I received my DOVO 5/8 razor from SRD, finely honed and ready for shaving. I spent 40 mins this past Saturday, practicing on the sides of my face and the neck. All and all is was a great experience and had only one little nick caused by a moment of carelessness, but other than that, no casualties!

Congratulations on your success. If you're like most of us there will be some ups and downs, but generally your shaves will get even better with more practice.

One of my favorite things about this ridicuous pasttime is the way it demands our full attention to what we are doing. It sounds like you are off to a good start.
