It's a very common issue with women they think they can spend, spend, spend on themselves but the guy has to account for every penny. My advice is you each set up a discretionary fund where you have your own money to with as you please that way you can buy your razor gear and she can buy her stuff. It also cuts down on money issues which can wreck a marriage.

I think it's been this way since the early days. Man scavenged for food armed with nothing but a few wooden tools, while the woman sat in the cave thinking of ways to improve the overall ambiance by adding a sabretooth rug to the entry way.

To give a little background on my wife, she works at Neiman Marcus. She loves the job (and I don’t mind some of the kick-backs), but the problem, is that she also shops at Neiman Marcus. The sales are good, but let’s just say that it can get a little out of hand.

Of course, I'm not completely innocent, as I spend money on toys as much as the next guy.

We’ve figured out a way to make it work and still stay (somewhat) out of debt. Some months are rougher than others, but hey, that’s life…especially when you have two kids.

As a wise man once said to me: "Women…can’t live with ‘em, can’t live without ‘em."
