Default I am such a dumb noob.....

First shave, flawless and made me feel like a natural.
Second shave, Bloody mess and i accidentally tapped the blade of my razor to the faucet thus putting a very very very tiny hardly able to see unless looking at it closely with bright light nick or chip in the heel of the blade. Question is can i continue to shave with this until i need to hone? or should i get it honed ASAP?

P.S. I nicked the blade near the end of the shave so the bloody mess was due to me being overconfident and trying to speed up the shave.

I would recommend contacting a member here who offers honing under "Member Services" and get that fixed. Why take a chance on cutting yourself with a nicked blade.

P.S. This should be a good enough reason for you to invest in a second or third razor for this very reason. And before you know it, you may even have a full blown case of RAD. Not that's a bad thing.

I'd spend the money and get the knick honed out. I don't want to think about what a tiny chip can do to skin.

    My two cents.

Even worse than what it might do your face is what is might do to your strop.

If you got it from SRD you may have a free honing coming all you have to do is email them or call and they will get you set up

+1 to each of those. I got in several good shaves and then I nicked my earlobe with the square point on my Genco and it bled like crazy, prompting me to change my tagline.

I agree with the advice to get your razor honed. I also agree with the advice to get another razor (or two). Depending on your budget you have plenty of options. Being a financially challenged individual, I'd hit up the classifieds or whippeddog.com. Were I blessed with more greenery in my life; or less Sallie Mae obligations I'd definitely hit up SRD or one of the other great vendors that advertize here.

    Peace,

Get that honed out! And like ReardenSteel said...it certainly is a fantastic reason to get a second razor. Let the RAD begin!
