New to the forums. A neighbor gave me his KB Extra straight razor. It's marked Black Diamond" 166 and it's made in Germany. He told me he has not used it in about 50 years. It has black handle and it seems in pretty good shape. I would like to start shaving with a straight razor and was just wondering if this razor would be a good candidate for a beginner.
At the moment I am using a 60's Gillette with "feather" brand blades and Proraso soap and balm.
