WOW RAD or What ever you call it lol
So i started reading on this site not to long ago and still dont have my first Straight.
Last night I got a razar from the classifieds a KARNAK MORE CO ST . LOUIS. MO 5/8.
Then I went on SRD site and was looking for strop and brush and some other stuff to get started with.
I ended up buying a second straight and some other stuff: Dovo Best Quality Black 5/8, 2" Black Latigo Leather Stop, Simpson Beaufort B4 Pure Badger Shaving Brush, Proraso Cream, Styptic Pencilm, and some Mama Bear Soap..
My wife is going to kill me I told her I wont spent to much on this.
P.S. Is there anything else I should get before I get started lol

No, I think you're all set. Well, you might add the full set of either Naniwa SS or Norton stones, two backup strops for when you cut the crap out of your first one, six or seven grinders and buffers for restoring blades, a nice workbench on which to mount them, a few DEs to rest your face after your first few attempts, a razor case and large cabinet to hold your "shave den" stuff, a 10X mirror to concentrate on BBS shaves, and maybe some band-aids and crazy glue to hold the cuts closed. Beyond that, I think you're good to go. Welcome aboard, good luck, and remember that Styptic is your friend.

Looks like you are all set.
You made good decisions on your purchases.
You even got two straights.
That way you always have one of them ready for when you need to send one out for honing.
Good luck with your shaving!
Oh, and browse thru the wiki, it is full of useful info on all things shaving related. It even has some videos to see!Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Welcome aboard! There'd be a support group for people with RAD, but nobody wants to give it up. In any case, you made a great choice with the Dovo. I had a shave just last night with one bought off a buddy who barely used it, and it really was a joy. You really can't go wrong with Dovo!
And don't buy anything more until after your first few shaves. Then you'll get a feel for what you want next and be able to prioritize your purchases.
