Hey, Thanks DC. All I can say is that I speak publically, and write profusely for a living. Preaching, teaching, and serving as a professor for an online program has honed (no pun intended...but it's funny anyway ) my writing and proofreading skills. Usually when I have to edit it's because I got a phone call or other interruption while writing a post and forgot to address something.
I'm not perfect though. I find typo's all the time...usually when it's too late to edit them!
This is a great place and I'm glad I've been able to ask so many questions, and hopefully helped some guys along the way.
Peace,

Congrats on 500, I am sure I will be getting up there too as I should have my KIT finished by tomorrow and having my first Straight (not counting Barber Shops) shave next week.
The community here is great as you said and I can only think it is because of a passion to keep the man's shave alive by those who ejoy it.
I see this too in the Bagpipe community as well. Sure there are a handfull of people charging for lessons, but there are tons of people willing to teach for free, lend out spare sets of pipes, donate a reed or fix up your pipes if your havnig issues. I have seen all these traits in many of the members here, donating time helping on the forum but giving a razor away or restoring damaged razors for free if someone is a little tight on cash. really a stellar community to be part of.

Wow, 500 already? Congrats Jim. It's like you've grown up right in front of me. Why, it seems like yesterday that you were crawling around with 10, 20 posts at most. And now look at you! You make me proud.

See, look at that. See what 18 days will do for you!? Although I think there's a quantity vs. quality issue between us.
Although to be truthful, I went through some serious separation anxiety when I "lost" my razors. All I had was SRP to keep me going! Then the razors came back, and with them came a flood of experiential questions. Some day you'll get to where I am Jem, but your 500 posts will probably be better quality than my 500.

Getting addicted eh? We can give you a number to call every time you have the urge to buy another shave related item and find yourself hesitating for a moment. One of our specially trained members will push you over the edge and talk you into making the purchase.

It's not the purchase I have trouble with...it's resuscitating my wallet! Since the wife says the kids need to eat...for some reason...I can't spend our grocery budget on razor goods...hones are at the top of the list at the moment.
Yeah, in a sense He's always looking over my shoulder...but not quite the same as someone who pops into your cubicle. I've been doing better though. Having a kid born and then having Easter season has kept me busy.
Disclaimer: I'm just kidding about the kids and groceries. I'd sell ALL my razor stuff, and even my truck in a heartbeat if that's what was needed so my kids could eat.

Jim,
My kids just keep growing. I wonder if they are like plants; the more you feed them the more they grow, and the more they need fed. It is a horrible cycle. I see you changed your Avatar saying to "Some kind of Zombie." Does that mean that the little guy isn't sleeping so well?
