I reached a small milestone.

Normally I would do 1 WTG, and 1 ATG with the straight and 1 touch up pass with a DE.
The difference is today was the first full Straight shave. No De Touch up pass.
I did 1 pass WTH and 2 XTG. Had to touch up my chin a bit.
I have to say I've had better shaves, but I've also had way worse. My chin is a bit 'Warm' but progress has been made...

I am with you there after about four weeks. Today I had my best shave yet. Last night I spent hours studying up on stropping, and then gave my Bengall about 50 good strokes on a beginners strop courtesy of Legion.

Wow, for the first time ever the Bengall literally slid accross the face really smoothly WTG making lovely popping noises. This was after good preparation. I did touch up under the chin with the DE, but probably did not need to. At this stage I am not doing a XTG or AGT to minimise razor burn.

It will keep getting better and better. There is much to learn. It gets better slowly, but straight shaving is a complex activity.

I'm jealous. I tried XTG a couple days ago, all I can say is.....my poor chin.
