    Welcome to the forum.

    Don't know where you live but assume high humidity. That is a lot of work.

    I dry my blades on a towel, strop on linen and leather, let air dry for a few hours and put in the display case.
    If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

    I,m like you Dave, and I do live in high humidity, the only razors to get oil are ones I,m putting in the safe for a few months, and then its not mineral oil. that's asking for trouble down the road. as long as you leave the razor open for a few hours for anything that's in the scales to dry your good to go, all these years later no rust or problems but some like the ritual and hey that's all good. I just found out I was doing to much so as time goes by I get more time for shaving and less time maintaining Tc

    I use Ren wax I all the blades. Long term I keep them oiled and in a dry area. Never the bathroom.
