Default KOKEN Two-Tone HONE - Brown w/ Logo - Lime Green obverse

Howdy-hi, Buckaroos! Lapped me granpappy's two-tone Koken Hone; the logo/name side is brown, the obverse side lime green (brown side developed light slurry; limeside more slurry). When I lapped my Norton 4K/8K, the 8K surface produce more slurry than the 4K side. Question: Am I correct in my assumption that the limeside of my Koken is the finishing side? Thank you for your time and consideration.

I think I only have the Koken's Moor barber hone. I'm not sure if I've seen the one you are describing. In general, the imprinted side is the more fine side. Most likely the brown imprinted side is like a Swaty and would again be the more fine side.
