    Thanks for all the ideas guys. I always thought the sign of a wire edge was when viewed from a miroscope a bright light would be visible on the very top of the edge. My razor does not show this. The bevel is even all the way across from tip to heel and is as black as could be. I would post a picture if I owned a camera but I don't. I'll try the leather strop first and if that does not help it I guess it's back to the hone as per Randy's suggestion.

    When the razor has a definite wire edge then under the microscope you will see a reflection along the very edge that is a different color than the rest of the bevel. The wire edge is bent so it reflects light at a different angle.
    There is a gray area of overhoned where that does not show up. The razor feels very sharp but it kinda "bites" you.
