I've been at this for about a year, with some pauses, and still haven't really figured out my straight shave. Earlier I posted http://straightrazorpalace.com/begin...ing-right.html about my challenges (velcro-y tugging, mostly). Recently I picked up my razor again and it was utter pain, tugging on my hairs but not cutting, so I had to stop.

I imagine that after a year of trying this, my blade might be due for a honing. I'm wondering, is there anyone in the Boston area who would be willing to take a look at my tools, maybe look at how I'm using them, and see what's up? I think a face-to-face examination might be the best bet for me.
