Thanked: 6Hanging a hanging strop?
In the mail today came my 3'inch red letigo strop from Straightrazordesigns!!!!! I'm way excited. Anyways, it had a metal loop at the end but now I need to figure out how to hang it and with what. Any tips? What do you do for your hanging strops?

Thanked: 4942I always recommend a brass coffee cup hook and screw it into the counter under the sink. The hooks are available everywhere.
Have fun,
Lynn

Thanked: 3795In the mean time, since you are desperate to use it right now, you can take a strong shoe lace or other heavy string, thread it through the ring, and tie it to the door knob of your bathroom. Do this ONLY if you have a lock on the door!

EucrisBoy,
The coffee cup hooks as suggested by Mr Abrams work very well indeed; I also use the towel/dressing gown hooks on the back of the bathroom door.
If you have a towel rail or similar you can use Utopians' suggestion of a peice of string.
Good luck !
Have fun !
Best regards

Hey, another Utahn! I just use one of those 3M stick-on hooks, and it works great; plus you can move the strop around until you find the position you like, without making a bunch of holes in your walls.
Welcome aboard, if you have any questions or need help with anything, just let me know. We're pretty close, and I know that I could have really used some hands-on help back when I was starting out. Good luck."The ability to reason the un-reason which has afflicted my reason saps my ability to reason, so that I complain with good reason..."

I coiled up some #16 speaker wire, attached that to a handle on my Elliptical Trainer and then clipped the strop onto that. That's a pretty expensive solution to your problem, though, because you have to buy the stereo speakers, the speaker wire, an Ellitical Trainer heavy enough to manage the weight of the strop and its usage and you need plenty of room to store all that stuff, maybe downstairs. While you're at it, you might as well get a decent stereo system because you went and bought the speakers and the speaker wire. Make sure you get one with multiple CD capability and a good remote. You might also consider a home theater system, although they are much more expensive. After all, you're only hanging a strop, right?
