Default 2nd SR shave. Better, but far from perfect.

Shaved yesterday for my 2nd time with a SR. I only did one pass WTG and finished up with a DE for a bbs shave. I was able to shave every part of my face (almost) with practically no razor burn or weepers. I got one nick below my nose due to an unsteady hand. My chin is by FAR the hardest part for me to shave.

I do have to say that I've never gotten that close of a shave just going WTG. I'm looking forward to further improving my technique.

A word of advice from a noob to other noobs: SR shaving takes so much concentration that it's easy to overlook things like proper lather and prep. My lather was way too dry on my face and I didn't even notice until the blade started tugging and "skipping" along my skin. Once I spent a little more time making sure my lather was adequate, my shave improved by leaps and bounds.

That sounds like great progress right there
The concentration bit is very true, and your comment on the value of a good lather is spot on.

Looks like you'll be doing full straight shaves real soon

I found mapping my face helped a lot. I have trouble around my chin ( but there again I got more chins than a chinese phonebook).

Your well on your way to putting that DE away for good your off to a great start.

I only ever go WTG & XTG I get the same results as i did with a Mach 3

As mentioned your we on the right track keep it up Good luck and most importantly enjoy
