    What? Do not shave everyday
But I look forward to it I have found that skipping a day can help with a smoother shave having longer growth. For clarification of your intent, are you saying that the follicles are justified in their protest? Or, should they tremble and fall victim to whisker wacker? Should I succumb to their protest or tell them as I tell my children, "Stop whining!" (in an Arnold voice)
    Thanks I appreciate it
I think you should just keep on with your daily shaving.
It will have an effect on how the hair follicles are behaving.
It sounds like you've already got them well-intimidated.
Just don't disregard good prep, make sure they're hydrated.

The guillotine technique is exactly the same - contacting the hair with the blade at an angle to impart the same 'slicing' cut.
Thanks, I do get it now, instead of having the blade parallel to the ground have it on an angle as I go in the direction perpendicular to the ground! I already do this at times, just with the heel instead of the toe. But, now that I get it, I can concentrate on it and try it.

I have one area - under the right jaw line where the hair grows in wierd, abstract swirls. I call this patch Tornado Alley. It's about the size of a nicotine patch (a square half inch or so).

I've scraped myself raw in this area using every stroke imaginable with straights, DEs and 47 blade wonders... the results are always less than stellar. A while ago I wrote this area off as it must be my cross to bear for some horrible sin in a previous life and guage my shaves in all other areas, but that one.

I do the same number of passes I do everywhere else now, I get what I get and don't worry too much about it.

I hope you find a method for reaching your area, but I've been there, done that and have the autographed T-Shirt signed in my own blood.

For those tought spots I think the biggest factor is how well the skin is stretched.
Experiment with different ways of stretching the skin, and try from different directions.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.
