    "Popping" arm hair:

    Place the razor's edge against your arm, as though you were going to shave arm hair;

    Lift the edge of the razor 1/8" - 1/4" off the skin.

    _Slowly_ "shave" down your arm, holding the edge just above the skin. You should feel the razor catch and "pop" (cut) some hairs.

    In my experience, if the razor doesn't "pop" arm hairs with this test, it's not sharp enough to shave with. [That's with _my_ razors and _my_ hairs; yours may be different.]

    If it _does_ pop arm hairs, it's usually sharp enough for shaving. But some blades pass the "pop" test, and fail the "shave test".

    that's exactly what I do for sharp test, beside the shave test, if my razor can cut my thin arm hair without touching the skin, and I know its sharp enough for shaving. Its something new i learned few months ago
