Nicked Strop Repair
I was being careless today and nicked my new SRD English Bridal IV strop! A pretty good nick, triangular shaped and about 1/4 inch wide by 1/4 inch long on the side of the strop. So, I got some contact cement, put some on each side of the nicked flap. Let it dry for about 10 minutes, then closed the flap. I then rolled a bottle over it about 10 times with pressure. Fixed! You can't even see or feel the nick. Sorry I didn't take any before, during, after shots. I will next time, and there WILL be a next time I assure you!
Moral of the story: Nicking your strop is really not a big deal and is easily repairable.
I was giddy about stropping my new shipment of razors today! And yes I've been bragging about these beauties all day!

Thanked: 443Glad to hear your strop survived. How was the razor that nicked it?
Those are two nice new blades! That Puma looks nice and comfortable."These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."

Thanks for the info on your strop repair. Glad it worked so well.
Your two razors are beyond beautiful. I did a search of your posts to discover you got them in such pristine condition. Wow! I thought maybe you just had them restored. I am really happy for you. You should enjoy using them for many years to come. Now you need to find a special case just to hold those two razors. They deserve a place of honor in your collection.
Thanks for sharing and Happy Shaving!
