Thanked: 0First Razor Gift
Hello all, my boyfriend's birthday is in the coming month, and he's been hinting that he wants a straight razor. It will be his first. This terribly nice forum has taught me what to look for in a blade
So, what do you think about this one?
It's marked G. Felix, Gloriawerk Solingen. Because it's a gift, I do want it to look somewhat nice. Despite voices telling me functionality should come first. But then again, do you think it's a suitable size for a beginner?
No info on working condition, nor size, it's from ebay. I'll probably send it to be professionally honed and sharpened before wrapping it up.
I'd also be grateful if anyone has infos about such a service in Germany,

From what I can see in the picture it looks good!
In terms of honing, I can hone her up for you for the cost of return postage if you don't mind shipping it to London.
Looks to be a good blade though, and I'm sure your boyfriend will love it!

Beautiful razor, think your friend will be happy with it.
If not, you may call me

Looks a good one. Here is a German based sharpening service. Never used it but only ever heard good stuff.
