Thanked: 1Thanks again everyone. So, assuming I rolled my edge can it be restored from proper stropping or do I need it honed now?
P.S. Thank you so much everyone for the responses, I really appreciate the support. What a great forum; you rarely receive such good support from these things
thanks again

What a great post by DLB! One of the many things that I was doing wrong right off the bat was not stropping enough. Now I strop a minimum of 50 laps, 100 if I have time. And keep the pressure light and razor flat on the strop. Try to keep it CONSISTENT on both sides.
As mentioned above, get together with some local members. Their experience is worth it's weight in gold at this point.
Have fun!!

Thanked: 20It depends on how rolled your edge is. If you have pasted strops you could try a few strokes on those, but more than likely you'll need to touch it up on a barbers hone.
If you look hard enough, I'm sure you'll find someone in your area that would be willing to look at your edge for you.
