I had a poke around the retailers I can find in Auz and the Naniwa 12k appears a little hard to get. I found a place that stocks the Shapton range upt to 16k but at $159AUD + freight I'll be waiting a while before I consider that seriously. The 10k King stone (Ice Bear) is $129 + freight to me and I've already had one warning they can be incosistent.
Looks like I'll be working on my "touch" with the 8k a while longer.
