    I don't find them an accurate tool to assess whether or not you will enjoy straight shaving, but what they will do is help you to learn your shave prep technique while you know that your razor is sharp. Later your shave prep won't be a factor as you learn to use a proper straight razor. Many never move beyond a shavette, there's no problem with that.

    thanks for your info guys, just anougher thing how much is it to get a razor honed?
