Thanked: 1Newbi
Hi All,
I'm new to this forum. As for straight razors im new too apart from that fact that I have shaved with a straight razor with disposable razors and have a scar on my chin to prove it too... (a story for another day).
I have been pondering about shaving with the real deal for a while. I feel I'm ready to take the plunge however, I read on this site theres mentors available, how does one go about finding one?
Secondly it seems most of the users are based in the US, i'm over the pond in the UK are there any user here or suppliers others can recommend?
Thank you all,
Pritesh

Hi, and welcome to SRP!
Yes, there are numerous members from your part of the world on these forums.
Check out the members map for any members near you. You'll find that under the community tab.
While in there, place a pin there yourself
There's also quite a few uk based vendors around.
I'll leave the recommendations of those for the UK based guys responding here
As for the mentors, they are a group of experienced shavers/users who contribute a lot of time on the forums helping out as needed.
I'm sure some of the mentors in your area will be happy to assist you.
Shoot one of them a PM, that is, if they don't reply to you here.
Good luck, and do keep us posted on your progressBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Welcome to SRP. I have a hard time shaving with the shavette as well and cut the hell out of my face with it (also have the scar to show for it). I find a real straight is not as harsh of a shave and far mor forgiving.
Feel free to ask lots of questions, we are here to help.
Good Luck
Colin
