Default Thoughts on a razor i just got.......

so i just got this razor and really don't know much of anything about it other than it was in my price range and i figure even if its CRAP i can start learning the technique of honing on it so i figured i would see if anyone knew anything about it any help would be awesome!!! also any suggestions on a good not to expensive strop since i have been reading that you are bound to nick your first one id rather not drop a bunch of money on something i may nick up. THANKS!!!

think it will be a fine razor. Do yourself a favor and have someone else hone it for you.

Ben, it does look nice, but you won't really know much until getting hands on it in person.

It appears to have a smile, which is NOT the profile you would want to learn honing with. I agree w/ others that having it honed would keep a potentially nice blade a keeper. In all likelihood, it will need more than simple honing - which is where all the real work is. Its really restoration of spine and edge wear so that it can be honed by a normal person instead of a pro. (not that people who hone are normal ). 'Hope it turns out well and give you as many smiles as it does great shaves.
