    Default 1 question

Ok, I'm gonna skip all the beginner reading for now, as I've just got 2 quick questions. I'm thinking about getting into straight razor shaving, how well does it work on the head?

Because im bless to still have a full head of hair i can not anwser your question personally. But i know for several members here that do shave the top of there head with the straight. So the anwser you looking for is yes it will do a excellent job once you become proficent with the straight. Much like when you get proficent with the straight razor it works best on your face.

    BTW Welcome to SRP.

    It works very well.
I do it daily, and with less irritation than any Gillette product was able to.

Yeah, I messed up on the question number thingy. Secondly, if I wanted to I could have hair halfway down my back. I shaved my head for a costume last Halloween (Farva from Super Troopers), and realized I'm one of the few white people who still looks good with a shaved head, and decided to keep it that way. Plus, it drives every female I know nuts that I could have great hair, but I shave it, and STILL look good. Just wanted to check on the head shaving thing, seems like it would be a less forgiving surface, I've had some cuts on my head from shaving with disposables that bled ridiculously.

Also, I think that settles it. Right now I'm in a situation where my expenses are low, so if I'm gonna make the investment it needs to be done before that changes.

The investment doesn't have to be great. You could check the classifieds here or whippeddog.com and get a perfectly fine, shave ready razor for a very reasonable price.

    Best of luck,
