Thanked: 0New straightrazorized guy wants to say "Hi"
Dear Wetshavians!
After a few month of DE-Shaving with an E2 Fatboy and being active member of the nassrasur.com forum in good ol' Germany I decided to make the final step forward (back?) into straight razor shaving feeling that this might be the last frontier in a mans wellness treatment (And beardreducing of course!).
So I read all about straight razors I could back in the nassrasur.com forum (as "Asphalthaut"), had a few very inspiring phone calls with a Forum- Member "Bartisto" and jumped into the electronic bay looking for the best I could lay hands on with limited bankroll. Did not want to spend tooo much on a thing that i might not use in future, of course.
I ended up with a Joseph Elliot's best silver steel 6/8 the latter being in almost mint condution but with horrible wood scales.
"Bartisto" being a renowned Honemeister in Germany helped me by creating fantastic deep blue acrylic scales for it. I dont need to mention that the honeing he did to left it sharper the a straight razor . Have a look at it here: jAlbum Album !
Thanks to "Bartisto"'s craftmanship an that fine razor I shave my face for one month now and hope that I can do that for the rest of my life! I appreciate those few minutes I take for myself each night to settle and reconsile my day.
Happy shaving to you all!
Yours
Asphaltized

Thanked: 0I forgot to mention my also Bartisto-honed 5/8 Clauss Fremont Ohio that sat next to my sheffield and looked sad, when I did not write about it. Also a small but great razor!
