Revisors are generally good razors, the ones I received where all near shave ready but not quite there, took a little bit of tuning, enjoy yours!

I WAS gonna say: "Yeah, what MVCrash said, give it a few laps, strop it and see what happens." then I thought I'd better check and read the whole thread, glad I did as I see you've already used it :-)

BTW, could anyone receive a new Revisor and promptly pop it in bubble wrap, seal the envelope and wave it goodbye at the post office? Getting new razors for me is like having a new child. Well, my wife having it and me idly looking on...How could one give up their new child?

PS I got a NOS Revisor lately and THAT was shave ready too after a strop (2x(30/70)). I wouldn't have expected it.

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

The CF Schmidt razors that Revisor has rebranded are awesome shavers but it always pays to check a new razor thoroughly. You may have no warranty the moment you wet it or hone it

I can see why so many like the larger blades.
Congats!!!!! Glad you had a nice shave. 6/8 is a nice size blade to shave with. After using one for a while, the 5/8 razors will feel like sports cars.

Now I just realized that this thread is lacking, where are the photos of your new Revisor???????????

I am with Blix on this, we need a picture.
