winter shaving tip
I just had a shave 5 mins ago and did my usual shaving route; down the right side, moustache & chin area then left side and finish off under the chin.... I got to going under the chin and had a problem because I got to it last the area around the lathered part was uber dry. The razor just got caught and stuck, like trying to take down a tree with a hunting knife.
At first I thought, 'this edge is a bit rough' but then I thought it may just be dry patch - the bathroom was quite cold, 7-10C maybe - I then took a wet finger and wet the area around the lathered under chin and shaved away.
I was amazed at the difference a drop in temps influences your lather. Just thought I'd post because they're may be alot of beginners out there damning their edges when it's just dry lather or cold weather and I'm usually quite quick - two passes in 7 minutes usually.
kind regards
Alex

Absolutely. I have noticed the same thing over the past couple days.
Just an interesting fact though, even though the cold dries the skin out, the frigid winter air will actually help to reduce irritation, bumps, and ingrown hairs. The pores close up, and there is no sweat or wide open pores inviting bacteria into the skin. But it's so damn cold! Guess you just have to decide if it is worth it or not....
Haha but interesting fact, good to know!
