Default Christmas came early this year - Great Ebay Score

    Hi everyone,
I have been shaving with a straight razor for about 2 weeks now. Originally got myself a Dovo 5/8 that was professionally honed by Lynn from Vintage Blades. Last week, I got really lucky on ebay and won a beautiful set of razors. The set also included the Box.
As I said I have been shaving with my Dovo 5/8 for 2 weeks now. For the last 1 week, I haven't had any nics or cuts. I had 1-2 weeps which stopped bleeding before I could rinse my face with water. I was quite happy with the shaves.
Today I received that set I bought on ebay. The seller told me that his razors were in excellent condition and I have to agree with him. What he did not tell me was that he honed each razor to be extremely sharp. I had decided that I would use the Genco Henry X from that set today. I tested it on my hand and realized how sharp it was. When I shaved with it I realized that the Genco was atleast 5-10 times smoother than the Dovo. It was also shearing off my beard(which is extremely thick) very very efficiently. I probably had one of the best shaves I have had with a straight razor and I am extremely excited about my shave.
I also realized that I like very sharp and smooth razors. The genco made me think that my Dovo was dull. I don't know if I should attempt to hone the Dovo and make it sharper. What do you guys think?
As I said in the Title, Christmas came early this year and I got a really good gift. The only things I don't like in that set is the multiblade razors. I don't know if I should give them away or keep them as they tell a history.

Wow that's a great score. I can't believe it went for so low! Congratulations, man!

Thanks. I was glad too...I bid at the last few seconds (something I learned from one of my friends). However, I was extremely glad to win that set. I think the only razor I am missing in that set is Dubl Ducks and PUMA straights. The DE razors also helped me finish my Vintage DE razor collection.

I saw that set too, but it was out of my price range. I love the custom storage box that came with it. What kind of material is are the trays made of?

I'm no expert but I think you got a lot for your money there, considering all that's in that box.

Part of me wants to keep the razors as is. However, I bought them to use. So I have decided to use them. I tried one of the razors yesterday and I was glad of it. I love how well the vintage razors shave.
