Posted a thread several days ago, looking for someone in the Tacoma Washington surrounding area that knows how to hone a straight razor. I'm trying to avoid having to mail my razors out and would like to experience a razor that has been honed by someone who knows how to do it. So far, I've only experienced a "shave ready" razor. Have tried honing myself, with a Norton 4/8, but not sure I'm getting the technique down. I have nothing to compare my honing to, with someone who knows how to do it, only a "shave ready razor." Is there, or does anyone know, someone in the greater Tacoma area that I can use, or teach me how ?
