Thanked: 7Yeah, I have been looking at classic edge col conk carbin steel. They come shave ready. They hone them before shippment, so I can have a standard to what shave ready is. So when I do hone I can have an understanding of what I am trying to accomplish. I really want to develope the skills to take care of my instruments. I have purchased and watched the world of straight razor shaving by lynn abrams. I will watch it again and again. even though I have not achieved a good shave yet but, have become addicted to it already. I figure that my dovo stainless will be used for practice and will wreck the fin. When I can properly take care of a straight razor I might move on to a hart steel razor, just because they are american made. Thank you for the advice.
