Then I couldn't resist the beauty of the TI razors so I ordered this one from Martin at Rasurpur.de in Germany. Its a TI "New Forging" 6/8 full hollow. Should take a few weeks so I can get started with the Dovo before I get my hands on the TI.

I have the razor pictured and it's a dandy. What I do to prevent rust is rinse and dry as best I can and leave the razor opened, straddled across a lathering bowl that day. That evening I put it away. I have had no rust problems (although I have been straight shaving only two years).

Thanks for the tip. I got some camellia oil from SRD for it too.

I want to hasten to say that I didn't mean to discourage a purchase from SRD in my remarks. I wasn't aware that Lynn Abrams owned SRD until I read that newspaper write-up later on. When the poster asked for a preference between Dovo and TI my intention was to express a personal preference for a make of razor, not a preference of vendor. Hopefully I didn't create anymisunderstanding. For the most part I don't know who owns what.
