Wink First shave with solid straight

My dovo silver steel ebony 5/8 arrived today and I got to shave with a solid razor in stead of the replacement blade straight. The dovo blade was so smooth it just glided across my skin no nicks or cuts it was alot easier to shave with than the replacement blade razor even with new blades it would catch a little. Had I known that a true straight blade was this much nicer I would have changed to it along time ago. I believe the blade on the dovo was sharper then a new replacement razor blade thanks Lynn for the honing it was truely shave ready. I started with a clarins warming pre-shave oil then tried my new srd sandalwood soap then finished of with clarins after shave with alcohol then put on a shiseido after shave balm. This was a great combination my skin has felt great all afternoon even though I didn't get ever spot on my face shaved good the razor was different in weight than the replacement blade razor even so it will take a little getting use to the weight for the next few days.

Stropping is your best friend when it comes to a truly great shave. It can mean the difference between gliding over your face and pulling every hair out by the root.
