Thanked: 7Thank you
I thought I would take the opportunity to thank all of you that hang out here and help us beginners. I probably would have quit by know if it wasn't for this forum. I have been involved in other forums and by far this is the best. You don't talk over are heads or make us feel stupid. It took me a while before I decided to give this a try. I saw it done in a couple of movies and my barber finishes up my neck with one. I remember the first time he took it to the back of my neck. I walked out saying "now thats a haircut." I was using at the time the Gillette Fusion, because they stopped selling my quatro. I now shave with the straight razor and finish with my DE. Now the dilemma is which one do I use, because I love my DE too. I guess the answer is both. Alright I'm rambling. Thanks again!

I totally agree. Everyone here is so great and so willing to help us noobs, but I have to sign off so I can watch Lynn's World of Straight Razor Shaving and learn some more.

Well, we were all beginners, and all went through the same things, some better some worse...
But we all love to share our love of straight razor shaving. One of my friends on facebook just picked up on my references to here, now he has taken an interest!
Really it is the only way to shave for me, but perhaps it is not for everyone.
I too am thankful to Lynn and all the guys here that have guided me through the process. Even though I didn't always listen, I admit that they were always right....

Nothing wrong with using the DE and the straight when you feel like it. There are some very cool DEs out there with the merkur slant being my favorite.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
