    Default Difference in blade materials

Is there a primer on different blade materials and the supposed difference? Carbon steel, steel, silver steel? Am I missing any?

    Thanks!

Carbon steel is a generalization of a number of steels that are not stainless and used for razor making.
Silver steel, Sheffield steel, O1 and others are some of the steels used for razors.
I am not sure if the composition of the steel use by Dovo, TI, Bocker is known, but In the end the steel type is not as important as proper heat treatment.

Is there anywhere to get the information about heat treatment?

Are they uniform within a maker? (All Dovo blades are made the same way?)

You can google information for various steels
If you check the makers of the different steels they might have the tempering procedures too.
For example crucible has this info on heat treating tool steels
