My grandmother just gave me so old family keepsakes. Amongst them was a "Case's Ace" razor, a hone and a strop that was her fathers. They had been sitting in a cabinet for years and except for the hangin strop that had been hanging in the basement were still in their boxes.

The razor loooked clean and had no rust but wasn't very sharp. But what the heck, it had been sitting since WWII in a box. I followed the instructions in the box and gave it 3 passes on the course side of the hone and then about 6-7 on the fine side.

Then I just used one of my strops I use for woodcarving tools and some Flexcut Gold.

I found this site and found some instructions on how to use the thing. Fortunately I already used a cup and brush

This was the best shave I have ever had. I am never going back! LOL!
