Thanked: 3Cheers to the best shave of my life!
I received my Dovo s/r today along with all of the vital necessities in the mail today. I immediately unwrapped the package like a child at Christmas time. I set everything up in the bathroom and took a nice hot shower. I was giddy like a little school girl. I prepped my cream, and went to work. I gently and carefully moved the razor over my skin, full aware of the injuries a sharp blade can inflict if attention is not set to purpose. My first cut was WTG. I started with my dominate hand (my right), and moved from my cheek down to my jaw bone in short strokes. I kept telling myself mentally, "30 degree angle" over and over again. When the right was finished I moved to the left side, continuing the ritual performed on the right. Now the neck line. I felt a little nervous about taking a sharp blade to my neck, but, I pressed on nonetheless. Again, I started with my dominate side and switched over to my non dominate. With every stroke I had to supress my giddiness. After 3 passes (WTG, ATG and XTG) I concluded with a alum treatment and a aftershave balm.
The end result was a BBS face and the closest and best shave I have ever had in my life. I am so hooked!!!

Thanked: 3Funny this is, vie been waiting years to start straight shaving. It's been too expensive until now. It's been well worth the wait.

Thanked: 3It was my first shave. That's not to say that I had no nicks but it did go much better than I thought it would.
