Have the second razor pro honed and use the barber hone to keep it touched up and compare your efforts to the Boker. With the Boker, you have a proper shaving razor to compare your efforts at honing to. It will take time and patience, but the reward of straight shaving is worth it. There is just too much to learn quickly and you have to go through the learning curve. You will never know everything about straight shaving, as I and all other long term straight shavers will tell you that you learn something new all the time. It is a great journey and we all welcome newcomers so that our art will not be forgotten. Read all you can and watch the videos. All the very best, and HAPPY SHAVING, John
