Default How do I use soap samples?

So I got a soap sample with a recent order its about 2 inches by 1.5 inches by 1 inch. How do I use this thing? I feel like its going to just tumble around the bottom of my mug (?). I was thinking about putting it in the mug and putting the mug in the microwave with hopes that it melts and coats the bottom? is this advisable?

Should be enough for 3 shaves. Just cut it into 3 pieces and press a piece of it to the bottom of your bowl. Your set.

Thats what I did with a VDH set I got from Wall-Mart.The soap puck rattled around in the bowl,30 seconds in a 12000 watt microwave did the trick it cooled and glued in place.Your mug or bowl might shatter in there though so stand back!

There's also the option of using a cheese grater, shredding the soap and pressing it into a mug or small bowl.
