Thanked: 0Great week
So Monday morning I woke up and just decided to go for it. I still made it in the car in plenty of time. Tuesday, I had even less time to get ready but still went for it and finally felt like I stropped the blade well. On Wednesday I decided that this was the way I was going to shave from now on. Went five straight days in a row. Ended up with a couple good cuts. But I'm good with it. Each morning I have actually got up looking forward to shave.

Sounds like you are having fun. the only thing that I would change at this point is going to bed 10 minutes earlier! LOL

Thanked: 1185Agree, take your time and enjoy it. You'll find that as you get better with the straight razor it doesn't take as long and you'll probably want to use it more than just on the weekend. Of course like anything else, your straight razor technique will improve quickest with maximum practice. Sounds as if before bed shaves might be a real good option. When it's all said and done though, if what you're doing works for you, there's certainly nothing wrong with straight razor shaves being a weekend luxury.
