Thread: Just got my Timor Hamburg Ring !

well tried shaving again with the sharpened blade and what a difference, got a much closer shave but a hell of alot more nicks. Before I shaved I did use an old leather belt and stopped on that for about 20 laps.

My cheeks and upper lip area are easier to shave but I'm finding my neck area to be real hard since my beard grows west to east so I'm trying to figure out a way to shave that area. I'm also trying to teach my left hand to shave and I think thats where most my cuts are coming from lol, oh well I have plenty of time to learn and practice so I'll just take it slow and easy.

Just wish my strop was here It's been about a week and a half and no e-mail reply on when it will ship.

Just an update I've had about 7 or 8 shaves (just guessing I loose track of time easily) each time I shave now its getting better and better. I get less cuts now and the shaves last longer, with my electric razor i could get my face baby butt smooth but 4 hours later my beard would have grown back but with the straight I can shave at 6:30am and I'm fine till around 5pm The neck area is still quite a problem and I've watched every shaving video I could find online but the thing I noticed is alot of these guys have more round a face as I have a very angular face and even with stretching I'm finding it very difficult to shave everything smooth on my neck oh well guess it comes with time.

I was quite jealous/mad as one of my buddys whom I talked into buying a straight got a perfect shave the first time out !! the thing is he has the kind of face where he can shave once every 4 days and still then you don't see much stubble

Still waiting for my strop from Hand American so should be another 2 weeks or so as it just shipped last friday, and waiting for my mama bear soaps which should have been here as its been 3 weeks (4 weeks this upcoming week) and nothing yet

Next step is trying to win some auctions on ebay but that isn't going well, and to also get my Dad to try my straight but he's reluctant to even try my shaving soap !!

Enough blabbing for me sorry for the meaning less post but I'm bored and have nothing better to right now.
