Thread: for the newbs

just wanted to give all the newbs a heads up about straightrazorplace. Its amazing. I posted a while back about needing a razor and not being able to afford it and that I had one but it was almost ruined. AFdavis11 offered to hone and repair it for free, all I paid was shipping. So i just wanted to let you all know that gentlemen still exist in this world and its right here. They are the best.

I'm glad people still notice. I remember encountering it myself for the first time over 18 months ago. I was accustomed to being guarded on the internet. I mean, after all, these people are strangers and who knows who they could really be. It wasn't too long before I found myself being much more comfortable around the old guard and then the other newer members like myself. The nicest thing about it is it's infectious. I'm inspired to act like the gentlemen I encounter here and encourage others to do the same. Odd to think, but if SRP doesn't make me a better person, it certainly brings out at least some of the best in me.

If a member offers to meet in person and help out with stropping or honing or even just share a drink, you can feel comfortable that you will meet a gentleman that day. If a member offers to hone a razor for you, you can be assured that you will get it back as you desire. You will also be applauded when you return the favour by paying it forward when your time comes.
