Strategy for learning the neck area
So I've been using a straight for nearly 4 months now, and my shaves have improved GREATLY. However, my neck area was still giving me some guff. So I altered my strategy over the last 3 weeks and I saw significant improvement. I occasionally like to sport facial hair, beard goatee etc. So what I did was grew a beard that went as low as my jaw line, thus making me ONLY shave my neck for 3 weeks straight. WOW, how far I've come by focusing in on that area. I now can go ATG on my second pass and get pretty damn close to BBS.
So my 2 cents to beginners: If you're having trouble with problem areas, just take a step back and really focus on what you're technique/strategy. For me, that meant not shaving anywhere else for 3 weeks and giving my neck my full undivided attention. I can comfortably get a full shave without razor burn or nicks now. It is possible, just stick with it!

Nice!!!!
It took me about 2 mos before I was getting decent shaves on the neck area. but even now 8 mos in I cannot get BBS on the lower neck area using the straight alone.... I still have to do a few swipes of the DE to make it BBS..

Strategy for learning the neck area
The one strategy that has always worked for me, for learning no-matter-what, languages, shooting speed etc.:
practice, practice, practice.
