    Default Two Selective razors

About two years ago when I was just getting into straight razor shaving I made the mistake of buying three 'Selective' razors on eBay. I mean, how can you go wrong, three razors for $7? Well, that was $7 wasted. Anyway, I have two of them left (no idea where the other one ended up) and I'll gladly send them to anyone (in the continental US, not going broke on shipping here...) that might want them. Might be nice to use these cheapies for practice honing, learning how to strop, etc. Just don't expect to ever shave with one, seriously, Lynn couldn't get these things in shave ready condition. Would make a hell of a letter opener though. If anyone is interested, give me a yell, if not, you're probably better off

I simply hate to throw stuff away.

There no good for honing practice. You can't practice on something that wont take an edge. Very Best, John

In the 'Beginner's Tips' section he mentions that you can practice stropping with a butter knife. I would think that even an unshavable razor would allow you to get the feel of stropping, just MHO.

Rest assured that a lot of us here (now) have made similar mistakes.
I bought a GD and two 'titanium' razors before I found this site. One is now a knife in my workshop.
Although I agree (somewhat) with wildhog, they could be usable for stropping practice and also for honing practice, not so much to get a shaveable edge, just to get the feel of the process.
A loupe would be beneficial to see how a bevel looks, what different pressures do to the bevel etc.,
Even if you can't shave with it, it should be able to pop arm hairs at the 1k level.
    Just my $0.02

A razor may be worthless for shaving and still cut the ever living daylights out of you or a strop. If your going to dull it so it becomes like a butter knife that's another story.

I say pin them together and make yourself a nice and unique hood ornament for your car/truck....

That's probably all they are good for! Too much trouble though, trash can here they come...
