Thanked: 3225A small milestone
This morning was my first 3 pass SR only shave after working up to it over a couple of months. It is about as good as I can do with a double edge disposable in a single pass and below what I can get from my Fat Boy with 3 passes. I have been wet shaving for 42 years so am much more familiar with DEs and the like. Considering that and the SR experience being so different I think the results of today are acceptable. It is very good advice on this forum to go slow in incremental steps. It got me here with little to no blood letting. Time will tell if SR shaving will get me closer shaves but the enjoyment and satisfaction level is definitely much higher. I now also have much less fear of using an SR but I think it would be a great mistake to loose that altogether and become over confident. They demand respect and will get it and your attention if you get even a bit sloppy. Thanks for all the advice given on this forum and if you use it as a guideline you can't go far wrong, increasing your enjoyment at the same time.

Congrats! I find that as long as your respect for the blade remains just above your skill level, you'll be fine. For me, at this point, I'm far more dangerous with a Double Edge.
